Problems accessing main site

For some reason many are having a problem getting through to the main site. Instead of the latest page you get a cached page from April. To get round this please use this URL

If it doesn't work first time then try again.

Many thanks

  2. Oddly, I have been getting this problem on my i-phone but not on my Mac. The cached page includes two typically masterful articles by Morus. Cui bono?

  3. I'm not able to view comments either - it's just suddenly switched for me in the last half hour.

  4. Anon it does work using cut and paste, use the ip address to get onto the site, click on comments you get a white screen,at the top of the browser you will have a http://politicalbetting.com/ if you delete only politicalbetting.com and replace it with the ip address you will get to the comments, make a comment and it you will be ok while your pc is running

  7. I can now view comments (though the whole site has gone into a horrible green mess) but can't post. While that is probably a relief for many, it's incredibly frustrating for me.

  8. The work around doesn't work around for me.

This problem started yesterday, on my iTouch then my mobile. Now it has spread to my laptop.

Not the ideal weekend for pb to totally fall apart!

  10. All I can say wherever you see politicalbetting.com replace with 87.106.214.196 leave the rest of the field intact.

  12. Tried it for a third time, no joy. I can get to the main site, but as soon as I click on comments it self-destructs - and the work around don't work.

Ah well. Maybe I needed some time off pb! Back to thriller writing.

  13. I share SeanT's problem. Maybe it's the internet's way of telling me to do something useful.

  15. I can access the main site from my Mac but on my Nokia E71 I get the (admittedly super) article from Morus in April. Trying the 87.106.214.196 route doesnt work on the E71 - just get a white screen

  17. Try putting www2 in front of politicalbetting.com (so http://www2.politicalbetting.com/index.php/etc)

  18. I'm also only seeing the April posts, and I'm pretty sure it's not a DNS problem: politicalbetting.com & www2.politicalbetting.com already both point to 87.106.214.196.

  19. It may be a COOKIE problem; try deleting all the cookies from politicalbetting.com

  20. Nope, tried that and it made no difference.

  21. When I click on a page link from my follow list, the site loads but the page is blank...it doesn't look like over demand on the server, because you wouldn't be served the page at all, I would have thought.

Hope this helps you find the problem, people.
